tazzie mania
after this road trip to tasmania,
in my humble opinion,
i reckon it is the most beautiful state in Australia
before arriving onto tazzie soil,
i imagine it to be like the rest of australia.
what i realised was,
it is like the rest of australia,
but alot more.
it has the ultimate mountains (not like the ones in blue mountain),
the best ocean views (unlike great ocean road).
i am just going to let the pictures do the talking.
The above 3 pictures was taken at Port Arthur, which is one and a half hour drive from Hobart (city). Port Arthur used to be a convict centre, some of the buildings were built down by the fire thus looking incomplete. It was raining cats and dogs on that day. i don't know about then, but when i was there, the centre sure looked beautiful with gardens and what not. it resembled a little of gloomy london.
Annie just had to stop along the road when she noticed this. Not sure what happened here, but someone definitely lost their shoes. it was just tied to a wire fence, in a very isolated part along the east coast road.
Did not have the best food ever. But i swear it was the best dinner ever. Sitting on a big flat rock, with a fantastic view ahead of us. Was rushing to see the sunset, but missed it. But still managed to catch the last rays of light.
The beginning of a 4 and a half bushwalking trail to the marion lookout at cradle mountain. Incredible. The highlight of the trip for me. Reached the top and was rewarded with the most amazing view. As the saying goes, "no pain, no gain" There were a couple of aussies that attempted a 6 day trek, kudos to them!
shots that i have taken while in the campervan. most of the time i was snoozing off, so i reckon i have most probably missed out on alot more.
