huffing and puffing away

i finished the 14km that i signed up for.
i am well aware that it is nothing much compared to the half marathons and full marathons,
but i am glad that i actually completed the race.

the reason why i signed up for it?
i have a housemate cum classmate by the name of Annie,
and both of us would go for a run every alternate mornings at the park near our place.
it has become part of our daily routine,
wake up around 730 ish, go for a short 5km run and then coffee afterwards.
i just thought since we run so much together and spend a ridiculous amount of time exploring coffee shops littered around melbourne,
it will be great to at least do one official race together to commemorate the times that we had,
and to create lasting memories to bring home to.

i am really glad that i did this race.
i am pretty sure i won't put myself through another race (but like they say, never say never)
i had to get up at 630am with temperatures hovering around 5 degrees, i was freezing in just a jacket and ended up with blisters. argh.

i am now completely exhausted. not to mention, very sore muscles.
